Watched Goodfellas for the 25th time. Don't know why it always draws me in, but to me this is the definitive movie

I've watched Goodfellas once, and that was more than enough for me personally.

Settled down the other night to watch 'Up Close & Personal' with Robert Redford as I've never seen it before & a friend said it was good & 'The Juror' came on instead.
So disappointed that I couldn't even give 'The Juror' a watch, so I've probably missed two good films instead of one!

Hoping to watch The Killing Fields in a minute for the first time.

You might want to think twice, I knew it was harrowing, but it's a nightmare. And it gets worse from here (I'm an hour in).

It is a rare thing to see mindless brutality enjoyed to such an extent, measured against the endless suffering and the unfolding cruelty of generations decimated for the sake of hatred. I watched this more than 30 years ago, and I can still remember the end and how awful it had been to get there.

I agree.
Just turned it off, too horrible for me so I lost interest.

On a lighter note, I got it wrong again, I thought it was going to be Mel Gibson in 'The Year of Living Dangerously' (which I haven't seen yet either).

It's this or 'A fist full of Dollars' but that was on a couple of days back, so it seems 'Taken pt 43' might just get the nod.

Watched a film called highest to lowest with my man Denzel in it.

I thought it was awful, awful acting, background music in places it didnt need to be in, just terrible, give me back my 2 hours.

TOXIC AVENGER- it's camp, silly, OTT and it was fun, a film where you can just sit back and enjoy the silliness

The Godfather is too much of a glorification of the life for my taste.

Exactly… The cameraman or the best boy might decide to keep a momento from his time on the set.

Not one of Wes Anderson’s better films.

I enjoyed it, but in the same way I enjoyed Moonrise kingdom, not in the same way I enjoyed the royal tenebaums or grand budapest hotel

Goodfellas is more rewatchable than the godfather.

Both top tier but I'd always watch goodfellas no matter the mood, I'd really have to be in the mood to watch the godfather
