There are just so many great films out there, some though are truly standout…. But in saying that, individual taste also comes into it, I’m no fan of anything sci fi if I’m honest and have no interest in horror film, I have watched a few though but would never rank them in my top 10 really…. Except for maybe Amityville… first time I watched that I nearly messed my pants.

It's a movie I've seen many times and it's the movie that got me through a bad patch as a young teen. I haven't watched it in many years but it has that special place in my heart.

Totally agree with you there, sci fi is a total no go for me, and horror just not something to grab my attention, but like you said, each to there own..

Not my favourite film, but Dazed & Confused.
I first watched it when I was 19 in the university halls room of a lass from Alberquerque I was casually sleeping with, both as high as kites on some really, really good weed and both of us got to the end of that film and neither of us couldn't get a handle on what we'd just watched.
I've watched it several times subsequently but, whilst enjoyable, I'll never recreate that moment again. It's definitely not as much of a happening when you're 42, with a mortgage, a couple of kids, your knees hurt from walking in work shoes, and getting high - let alone getting high with a gorgeous 19 year old yank with liberal views of relationship structures - is a remote a possibility as Dwight McNiel crossing with his right peg.
