TV Series

Alien Earth, eps 4 & 5. Still enjoying it, some proper creepy goings on, although I did have a few issues with ep 5.

Has anyone noticed Ade Edmonson seems like he's slightly channeling Charles Dance in Alien 3? He's got the same cadence in his voice and delivery, some of the same mannerisms.

Also
is it just me or was that eyeball paul creature weirdly trying to help the crew during the outbreak?
It's been good so far. It's scratched my Sci-Fi itch. Final episode of the first season comes out today I believe.

If not mentioned Freddie Flintoff new series on getting young lads & Girls this time from a bad background asking them if they wanted to give it a try to play Cricket & why no great cricketers do not emerge from Liverpool & Blackpool etc - he picked a deprived area of Bootle & they used Bootle cricket club as he had played there as a youngster in a visiting team - Bootle @chicoazul featured boy the area looked deprived - The Dingle where my relation lives looked like Hollywood compared to where they filmed - obviously there are good & bad areas even in good places , but this was way bad ...

That cricket ground was where Everton would play Bootle back in the late nineteenth century. Wadham Road. There'd have been some well attended Liverpool Senior Cup matches between the two clubs. Our biggest local rivals until we shat out that lot in 1892.

Just finished the 1st season of bloodline on Netflix, thought it was decent but dragged a bit towards the end. Attempted to start season 2 but after the first episode it looks like it’s going to be pretty much the same but with a different baddie. Anyone seen it and should i keep going with it?

I really enjoyed it mate, but it’s very slow all the way through, as it’s all about the writing, the family dynamics and characters.

It speeds up a bit in the last series as it all starts to unravel.

They were a football team before us they gave the then our Methodist church the idea of sport all year around in football as you say our Derby game- the church played in Stanley Park still the crowds got to big - they were forced to play somewhere else then on to Anfield on always on a rent-
I wondered if it was the same cricket ground on that TV show - thanks ;)
I did post a photo of that Bootle ground changed on a temporary basis as a football ground in the winter months...

I nearly gave up halfway through the first season as nothing seemed to be happening, but glad I stuck with it. Defo keep going 👍🏻
