Match Thread Everton V Aston Villa. Sat Sep 13th. 3pm

Hahaha what??

He's been injured

ye I’m aware

should have phrased differently

it feels like theres rumours going round that he’s absolutely not up to scratch and fans have put the poor display against roma and him missing the opening fixtures together and garner being preferred when he was on the bench for brighton and decided that moyes has wrote him off

There's no rumours coming from anyone around the club. There's just a section of our fanbase who do this to literally every young player we sign. Until Aznou has a motm performance in a PL game there will be noise from the usual suspects about him being a lost cause and waste of money.

do hope aznou can challenge Mykolenko this year. it seems a waste to have grealish and to back him up with mykolenko

though the flip side is myko is solid, but Grealish is actually surprisingly good at getting back and winning the ball so that doesn't concern me in the same way as it would with say James

feel like Aznou is already starting to stray into Kroldrup territory
He's 19, brought in as cover/to develop and been injured, that makes him per kroldrup territory?

Mental how bad the record has been against Villa since they came up in 2019.

Played 12 Won 0 D 3 L 9......! Just the league cup success in 2023 when they fielded a second string side.

Huge gulf between the two in last few seasons but you get the feeling with them in PSR mourning it has closed considerably and will be a good battle to see who finishes higher as there won't be too much in it.

They also loved playing at Goodison in recent times so this is where the stadium move helps mentally.

This is a very good time in the season to play Villa. 12 months back went to VP and surprisingly went 2-0 up but I think everyone deep down knew the team wouldn't hold out. Different story this time, would fully expect to win the game with a quick start.

2-1 win. Fancy Barry to get off the mark in the prem at some point in this one.

Records are there to be broken!

Don't worry mate. I'm on holiday in Lanzarote, and we always seem to do well when I'm on my jollies.
