Wheels fly off for all managers at some point, perhaps none more so than Nuno Santo/Wolves.

After Everton, Forest are the only team I really keep a close eye on as inlaws are all Forest fans.

They didnt want Cooper. He got them promoted. First time in 20+ years.
They didn't want Cooper sacked, and Nuno Santo replacing him. Qualified for Europe.

So yeah, while we can point and laugh at their owner as being off his rocket, looking forward to when it all goes tits up - at some point you have to also nod at the outcome.

Under him, Forest are in Europe, and appointing a manager who just won a European cup.
Framed with zero context

Laughing, well, there's context before it - but the point would remain, apply whatever context you like.

The end result will still dictate that Nottingham Forest are at their highest level under their current owner since, well, i'll let you finish that.
You can finish with it if you like, but the story continues.

I'm sure Peter Risdale would love to have finished any analysis of his tenure with as little context as you provide and just before the champs league semi final

Some clubs ride chaos to continued success (Chelsea under Abramovich), but most collapse under it.

I think the odds are against this approach being a sustained success for Marinakis.

It might be a bit lazy on my part, but it really seems like he's looked at Ange, thought "there's a guy I can get along with," and hired him.

I honestly can't see this appointment being anything other than a disaster.

He was on the pitch berating Nuno at the end of last season. This has more to do with the owner than Nuno to me. They don’t even have a revolving door in the Olympiacos managers office as it’s to slow to keep up with the traffic. He’ll chop and change constantly until something works or the club fades into oblivion as he doesn’t have the same advantages at Forest as he does in Greece.

So... what? You can't assess where a football club is under an owner after 8 years?

The story does indeed continue. As it always does.

But the fact remains - under Marinakis, Nottingham Forest are a Premier League Club, currently playing European Football.

I've got a bad back and greys coming through, and without question, Forest are at their best now in my lifetime.

They undoubtedly owe their owner for that.

There's the context - if you want to argue with it, provide your own context.

To be fair, when Nuno didn't walk after getting an extremely public dressing down from the owner last season I lost respect for him as a man.
I did too for that moment
have since changed my mind

now that its over, its Nuno who walks away with his head held up high, having secured more monies for his fam, and becoming more employable in the eyes of other clubs

He's been there over 8 years now mate. The chaos has only been upward.

Premier League, Wembley, Europe. He's delivered pipe dream stuff for them.

I wouldn't have hired Postecoglou either. But I wouldn't have hired Cooper. Or Nuno Santo.

But as I say, most take the piss at the loon, I did at one time but now, you have to acknowledge the direction of travel under that club under him.

As I say mate, over 8 years he's been there.

It's already 'worked' in that Forest are at their best since the 80s - he's achieved more than anyone could have expected.

To add, their game prior to him taking over - Forest needed a win on the final day - they won 3-0, to avoid relegation on goal difference to League One.

You'd be hard pushed to name a club in English football with as much tangible progress in the near decade under Marinakis.

^ There's the context.
