Not really. I started supporting City when we were great. Won the league a couple of years prevous as well as a cup in Europe. Then had all my teenage years in the 80s up until the takeover when we were gash. Beyond gash really. Badly mismanaged and run from the top to the bottom by spivs and morons. My support never wavered no matter how low we fell. Winning 4 on the trot and a treble are things I could never have dreamed of. But football moves in cycles and our cycle is over. For the time being at least. The only thing that stings is Liverpool winning it instead.

Does it sting you that Everton were once one of the big 6 and were instrumental in starting the Prem. It must sting a little that you and the other splitters started the Prem to make more money and sod the smaller clubs. Only for Everton to be so badly managed at boardroom level, that out of all the original splitters, only Everton failed to capitalise on it. All the other splitters went from strength to strength, Everton slipped further and further into mediocrity. Now that must sting.

It’s all ‘always been a fan of youse. Only proper Scouse club’ to calling fans bitter cos they don’t all line up to kiss their cheating scruffy hoops. No doubt sings songs about signing on with gusto come match day.

All the plastic trophies in the world but they can’t handle the very obvious fact they’re a minging club from top to bottom that have cheated in every way possible to get where they are and now are pulling up the drawbridge.

maybe just me, but I’d be embarrassed to admit I was a supporter, let alone try excusing my team’s actions on other clubs forums that they’ve played a significant part in screwing over.
