It's not good, its the only way is essex for daily mail readers, unless the flabby necked tax dodger gets thrown in a combine harvester then it will continue to be overly scripted contrived toshI'm sure it's quite good but is it a better telly show than Shogun? I'm sure to some people it is but it just throws the whole rating system out for me.
3/3 just. A tory government couldn't find a way to bring a criminal case against a very big revenue generating, high wage paying industry. The piper alpha doc on bbc earlier was frightening. The 'NRB' stuff wasn't a surprise, (Not Required Back) for blacklisting persons concerned enough to ask about safety. 167 dead. Remember it like yesterday.

If not mentioned Freddie Flintoff new series on getting young lads & Girls this time from a bad background asking them if they wanted to give it a try to play Cricket & why no great cricketers do not emerge from Liverpool & Blackpool etc - he picked a deprived area of Bootle & they used Bootle cricket club as he had played there as a youngster in a visiting team - Bootle @chicoazul featured boy the area looked deprived - The Dingle where my relation lives looked like Hollywood compared to where they filmed - obviously there are good & bad areas even in good places , but this was way bad ...
Yes its a good series & yes they will make the area to suit the lads etc - more beeps than talkingThere was a bit of poetic licence with the filming Joey, as there`s some okay parts of Bootle, like where the cricket club is, but they deliberately chose to film around the likes of Stanley Road, to give emphasis to the message of " these boys are from a deprived area ".
The lads are the real day though, full on Ninjas![]()

On about places - I was offered a job ages ago - when I was looking to move on at Buxton in the peak District - The temporary housing offered was an insult up in the hills above Buxton as bad as anywhere I have seen in Liverpool /Huyton area ...
Hence I declined the job offer - found out much later I had a near miss as it was a Tory council strapped for cash .... made the right choice I could just about to afford to live in Buxton when my house was sold etc - TBH I would have spent more time snow shifting - highest town in England beautiful in the summer etc ...
Put The Rainmaker on for the Mrs last , watched it with her.
Not bad at all tbh , but we do seem to have exhausted most series now.
10 episodes , watched 3 , not a Stella cast but good story and well acted.
