West Ham Ballot Results

I entered the ballot for Wham on 29 Sep and:

  • I got a ticket

    Votes: 29 59.2%
  • I was unsuccessful

    Votes: 20 40.8%

  • Total voters
    49

Gone for East Upper first (been good to me so far. Brighton, Villa and WHam all there through either ballot or resale). North lower second choice to try something else!

Might just be a typo on your part there, but worth noting again that the box states tick if you DO NOT want to be considered for further areas, not if you do!
Yes that is what it should read as.

Basically, don’t tick it.

Maybe it’s worth people posting what they have applied for in ballots, if comfortable doing so, to try and see what is best route to success. How many tickets applied for and what stands they have chosen for preferences?

I don’t think it does going off what I’ve read on here. May have been @kev who applied for two areas and was allocated somewhere else. Also, why does it include the box to tick (don’t tick) asking whether you want to be considered for other areas of the stadium if your first two preferred areas are unavailable?

Ultimately, we have no idea how this ballot is working. Some people have been 3/3 on ballots. Are they applying for individual tickets? I, and others, have been unsuccessful in all ballots so far. I have applied for two adults in a variety of stands so far.

For the record I have just applied for two adults for:
1) North Upper
2) West Upper
Yeah it's weird and would be interested to know how many get their 1st choice stand.
As you said, West Ham game I put upper South or upper North as my 2 choices and got a ticket in West.
Just applied for 2 tickets for Palace and chose South or East, but obviously would be happy to get tickets for any part of the ground.

i also think the family stand thing is really weirdly placed and phrased, and am i meant to tick it to acknoweldge it even if im not applying for a family ticket. worried that by not ticking it im effectively ruling myself out of the ballot

i also feel like they should mention the south lower being standing. seemed sound when i was there for birhhton, but heard there were a good few 'sit down' shouts at mansfield

The Family Stand thing is particularly weird because it's seemingly not properly policed.

We were in there for the Mansfield match, and there was one seat on the end of the row next to me, which I presumed would stay empty because I couldn't see how you could sell a single seat in the family enclosure (i.e. minimum one adult, one child).

But nope, a single bloke sat there. He was no bother - except that he was FaceTiming the match to his friend like an absolute deviant - but there was a guy a few down from us on the other side who was there by himself and freaked me out just a little bit with his general demeanour.

How do you apply for two tickets together. I thought you could only get one ticket per person?

this is why signal at the game is a bad idea

i don’t know how it would work but ideally for me you should be able to message your mates in the ground but not be able to message/call people outside of it, or be able to do mad stuff like that or go on snapchat
