West Ham Ballot Results

I entered the ballot for Wham on 29 Sep and:

  • I got a ticket

    Votes: 29 59.2%
  • I was unsuccessful

    Votes: 20 40.8%

  • Total voters
    49
It's gone back to the club and I was immediately credited 1/19 of my ST price . From what I've read on here it's quite complicated to transfer a ticket except to '' friends and family '' and none of them wanted it .

there’s a thread on here of people desperate for tickets

all you need to do is add their name and customer number to your network and then you can transfer the ticket to them. they can send you full whack for the ticket too so you get more

I think you probably need to outline to the members on this forum how you think this could occur, as I cant see how it is possible. I am not saying it is not possible, I just need to you tell me why you think it is in this case.

1) ST holder cannot find a friend and family to txf to.
2) Only alternative is put back to club, and receive 1/19 of ST price back, which he did. Thanks for doing that rather than nothing.
3) Club lists on portal, avail to FB+ (and, after a while FB not plus)
4) Those who failed in ballot scour for resales, and pick off ONE per FB or FB+

I suppose a tout could have created 00s of aliases and paid £30 for each FB membership, and is scraping them off the resale portal as they arrive. Then some mechanism to get them to the end buyer at the big tout premium (but even seatunique are only at £125 in this match). In this case, because all tickets are electronic, it is hard to see how the end user gets the ticket on his phone or app which doesnt have a FB or FB+

This is a genuine attempt to understand if there is a flaw in the new system, not knocking the quoted comment. Is it possible and I'm just naive?

the touts have bots on the site that are constantly refreshing the site and picking up tickets faster than a human can. the amount of money these things make mean a few £60 memberships are a drop in the ocean. this was what was happening last year. the ballot does make it harder but anything going on resale is more than likely to be snapped up by a bot whilst the fixtures are in high demand

here’s a site with a good few up for sale for villa and west ham

Those sites don't actively sit with a pile of briefs for the hundreds of events they cover! They take your order and source from there, that's why they advertised full refunds if they can't come through

Never heard back from the ballot to either confirm or get refused.
They're supposed to inform people on the Thursday after the ballot, (whether successful or not)
BUT
The first ballot for Brighton I never even got a reply.
I did get a message to say I was unsuccessful in the Villa ballot and (thankfully) one to say I was successful in West Ham ballot.

Didn't get a response for Brighton, negative result. Did get a negative email for Villa on the Thursday about 7pm, and WHam I was successful, got the mail about 1pm on the Thursday. They seem all over the shop with the responses

i wonder if you have a better chance with certain stands due to availability
I don’t think it does going off what I’ve read on here. May have been @kev who applied for two areas and was allocated somewhere else. Also, why does it include the box to tick (don’t tick) asking whether you want to be considered for other areas of the stadium if your first two preferred areas are unavailable?

Ultimately, we have no idea how this ballot is working. Some people have been 3/3 on ballots. Are they applying for individual tickets? I, and others, have been unsuccessful in all ballots so far. I have applied for two adults in a variety of stands so far.

For the record I have just applied for two adults for:
1) North Upper
2) West Upper

Might just be a typo on your part there, but worth noting again that the box states tick if you DO NOT want to be considered for further areas, not if you do!

Is it just me or is the site working better in general?
I just logged in after seeing your post. No queue and straight forward ordering. ;)
Possibly on less people's radar today with it only being a week since the last one? Easiest I've gone in and got registered too
