Levy gone!

So Levy resigned then or left before he was pushed, seems a little out of the blue. Do you think Eze going to Arsenal had anything to do with it, because what I've heard on line the fans attached zcfair amount if blame to Levy over Spurs missing out.

Not sure about that. His transfer style did rub other clubs up the wrong way but I don't think Eze on its own tipped the balance.

We were talking about the summer, Tel, Danso and Kinsky were all January and had to be signed due to an unprecedented injury situation - it’s not like Ange said ā€œthat’s who I wantā€

Ive acknowledged that Solanke was his signing. Leaves you with Odobert, Yang and Gray - Bergvall was agreed the January prior, even if you include him it’s 4 teenagers with an eye on the future, Yang was immediately loaned out.

1 player of his own and that reflected with who he was choosing when we had something slightly resembling a fit squad

Other than that you’re spot on fella

You wanted him to select the players to sign himself?

I think the likes of Odobert, Bergvall and Gray will become top quality and have injected some life into your squad.

The persons responsible have done well.

The Solanke signing...now the manager has gone? Not a good one.

Yeah to be honest I don’t think Eze was Levy’s fault anyway. Even Eze thought Arsenal were out of the picture - yet once all agreed he called Arsenal and they decided they did want him.

I think they will become top quality as well, but they aren’t top quality already and it’s a blooding in process placed on Ange who also had to blood Mikey Moore.

Ange wanted inverted wingers to make his system work and got teenagers instead.

Solanke was more or less the perfect striker for Ange and his system as he works and presses the oppo to death - not clinical though. There are few top quality strikers out there though and they are all at the elite clubs

About time, really. He did what he set out to do with regards to the stadium. He should have backed Pochettino more, been a catalogue of errors since then. Leaves the club with a world-class stadium and a trophy drought having finally been ended.

Investors of the right calibre could have Spurs pushing the top spots. Whoever they end up being, they should leave Frank to get the club back to a decent level for a few seasons.

spurs are owned by the enic group, which was, in turn, owned by Joe Lewis who handed control to the 'Lewis family trust'.
A quick look and it seems Joe Lewis is long term pals with Robert Earl, yes that one, who sold the shares (23%) in EFC he bought from paul and anita gregg in 2006 to Moshiri in 2016 for a reported £175m.
Seems Lewis is quite the character, and plead guilty to insider trading, never saw a day of jail, just a $5m fine.
Seems two bids for spurs have gone in, one from PCP finance and another from Firehawk holdings ltd.
Apparently ~30% of spurs is owned by Levy and his family.
Amanda Staveley who was part of the quatari takeover of newcastle is part of PCP finance limited (she's no longer involved at newcastle).
Seems Firehawk could be chinese money.

Aye. Obviously Levy was pushed out the door so allow this.
Reading what I just have, there's a chance he was prepared to sell up, take the money and run. Could be that enic don't fancy it, and as they are majority owners have moved him on. But he (Levy) and his family are still significant owners.
