Well I hate to be pedantic, but it kinda was.
Not having a dig at you here by the way, it’s just easy to say if circumstances had been different the outcome would be different
I did, and then I read your reply. No it wasn’t. Read the post I was replying to.

If Rooney didn’t get injured, you’d have walked that tournament.England in Euro2004 with Rooney were electric. We would’ve walked that tournament if Rooney didn’t get injured.
What ever anybody thinks about Southgate, he generally beat teams like Andorra (as we should) with ease. Could'nt care less what nationality the manager is, but he must get us to perform better than that.
In defence of the manager a lot of players that have been integral to recent success are missing at the moment for various reasons, e.g. injury (Stones, Palmer, Saka, Bellingham) or simply loss of form (Foden, Grealish). Others are retired or close to retirement (Walker, Henderson, Trippier). It's not an easy time at the moment for England. An England squad without all those players looks a little bit underwhelming. We just need to muddle our way through to the world cup and hopefully things will be more settled come next summer. I'd take a draw in Belgrade tomorrow no question.Southgate’s sides put 9 past these over two games in the 2022 qualifiers, I said earlier in the week it’d be laboured, I’m really not fancying our chances in Belgrade on Tuesday
If Wales weren't turbo bad at footie they'd be good.If Rooney didn’t get injured, you’d have walked that tournament.
If my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle.
Same thing mate.
He's doing ok tbfHow is Gordon starting games for England?
I can’t remember the last time I haven’t seen an Everton flag at an England game .
