Nobody saying he can’t play 2 positions, he can clearly play in both. But he’s clearly a natural center back, with some limitations playing right back (going forward, holding width, putting in crosses. He’s a natural center back who can competently cover right back, still can’t understand that being debated.

It's possible for players to be proficient in more than one position. If a player plays nearly half a season at right back and does well and plays for Ireland at right back I think it's pretty reasonable to say right back is one of the positions he can play. Was Maldini not a left back because he could also play centre back? Or maybe he actually wasn't a centre back at all. I can only imagine your views on preferred pro-nouns.

There are two loans in the squad this season, Grealish with a £50m option for a 30 year old, and Rohl with an option/obligation at £18m.

Last season we started with Lindstrom, Harrison, Mangala, Broja as loanees. When Mangala got sadly injured his loan position was then taken by Alcaraz who we have since made a permanent.

Believe it or not, this is progress, we are not relying on players we do not own to keep us going over a season. Our first eleven is solid, there's room for improvement but what can we expect? It'll be a fun season seeing as 9 sides will be stretched with European football.
