Mark Volman has died.
The singer and co-founder of The Turtles, who were best known for their 1967 single Happy Together, passed away on Friday at the age of 78 following a "brief, unexpected illness", his representative has confirmed.
Mark had been diagnosed with Lewy body dementia in 2020 but continued to tour and only publicly revealed his diagnosis in 2023.

Interesting she was a Catholic...fairly rare for a Royal.
Katharine converted to Catholicism in 1994, becoming the first member of the royal family to convert publicly since the passing of the Act of Settlement 1701.

I'd love to know what influenced her decision or maybe she was a Catholic all along and decided she'd got to a point in her life where she didn't care.

I personally think there has been loads of 'Closet Catholics' right through the monarchy since Henry VIII right through to Cromwell but for obvious reasons kept it to themselves.

Also too be seen as a Royal with Catholic tendencies would have been a bit of PR nightmare especially during the troubles in Ireland down the years.

I care nothing for the Royals but her story has peaked my interest.

She had a pregnancy which resulted in a late miscarriage when she was in her 40's and suffered mentally through it, maybe she felt the Catholic Church were more sympathetic
