Working in DC (not in the National Guard) but take a commuter bus home. Shop doorway next to bus stop and someone (human) had taken a dump in the shop doorway.... thats Proper Scruffs!

BTW I work downtown about 3 streets from the whitehouse and haven't seen any uniformed soldiers yet.

Angela Rayner, the token socialist in a supposedly Labour Party fiddling stamp duty. This annoys me, but the fact that her millionaire colleagues then come out in support of a minister responsible for housing claiming she was badly advised is sickening. Just own your mistake and resign, I have no doubt Kier Starmer has another token socialist in waiting to take your place. At some point we have to recognise that the current political class are inherently corrupt and demand something better, I feel that proportional representation is the way forward but I also believe that if a vote is spoiled or if a vote is not cast it should be registered as a vote against those standing. I believe that it is incumbent on those putting themselves forward for election that they engage the electorate and actively get votes. If they fail to engage the electorate then there needs to be a rerun with different candidates who can actually attract votes.
