To be fair claiming your corporate box as a second home was taking things a bit far.
Well I have say this was handled brilliantly. Real People’s Club stuff.Sadly they are cutting off access to Everton Way just as I have arrived from Australia to see the memorial stone I bought for my Dad.

We were informed that we could visit Everton Way with an official escort. This guy was brilliant. Helped find the stone then took family photographs and then the zinger. “You can’t come all this way and not see inside”. We were taken pitchside in the South Stand and then he says “Better views upstairs” so we went up the escalator to the main concourse and into the bowl. Wow! is really all you need to say about the stadium. We must have had 40 minutes of his time and nothing was too much bother.
I have his name and will be letting the club know how important this fella made us feel.
The gym's called 'Fit Ninjas' - they should be able to park up and leap the Mersey from Birkenhead into that place.Surely if it’s a gym they should be jogging down there anyway, lazy ars*s….
But that’s still contextual.
We all have our own classification of who qualifies as the greatest players we’ve known and loved.
I take your point that in the long, proud history of Everton FC, Duncan Ferguson wouldn’t be anywhere near the all-time first 11. I happen to think his legend is bigger than the reality also, for what it’s worth.
I also take the point I think @Eggs is making that it’s a shame that fans who idolised Dunc didn’t have someone more successful (or better) to idolise.
But people do idolise him - and I think that deserves, if not agreement, then at least acceptance that they are entitled to think like that.
Is this an actual comment?"No one told me there'd be parking issues", the owner of Fit Ninja Training Gym told the Echo. "I was wondering what they were building down there for the last 6 years. No one tells me anything".
Sounds like a Rotheram quote. Is this an actual comment?
I didn’t know Lee played for us.I have nothing to add to this, other than I spent last night with Southall, Sharpe, Mountfield and Bracewell.
They were greats.
Don't they do defendant PI anymore?Well they do do maritime law but they do all sorts. Dave is close to being right because they used to have a huge defendant insurance practice which worked against ambulance chasers:
Moved away the focus but still do it. Done really well on M&A stuff recently. They’re my competitors but still doing round.Don't they do defendant PI anymore?
When I was in practice ( admittedly 15 years ago ) they were my opponent on virtually every case.
Why didn't you sponsor the Ground?Moved away the focus but still do it. Done really well on M&A stuff recently. They’re my competitors but still doing round.
When’s the predicted revolt davek and will you be front and centre? I certainly hope soHow is it 'THEIR' stadium when all they do is hand £6M p.a. over to the club and the fans are paying for the whole stadium plus a surplus on top of that of multiples over the lifetime of the stadium?
Everything about Everton belongs to the fans...its stadium included. When these no marks have had their contract no one will remember them ever again. But Everton FC's owners have handed them the whole of the stadium for the first decade of its existence and thereby settling the stadium's identity without putting up any fight whatsoever to underline the identity of our football club.
It's a disgrace that's only been put up with (for now) by the shock and awe of the opening few games that have wowed fans...that wont last.
