New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

More negativity from the bbc

No mention of the huge financial benefits to the area
Not sure if its the roads being closed that is what he is annoyed about or the fact the road closures were not brought to his attention that he`s annoyed about.

Imagine owning a business down there and the whole thing being a massive surprise!
He`s wearing a red t-shirt, so got a bit of RS in him that lad.

How is it 'THEIR' stadium when all they do is hand £6M p.a. over to the club and the fans are paying for the whole stadium plus a surplus on top of that of multiples over the lifetime of the stadium?

Everything about Everton belongs to the fans...its stadium included. When these no marks have had their contract no one will remember them ever again. But Everton FC's owners have handed them the whole of the stadium for the first decade of its existence and thereby settling the stadium's identity without putting up any fight whatsoever to underline the identity of our football club.

It's a disgrace that's only been put up with (for now) by the shock and awe of the opening few games that have wowed fans...that wont last.
Got you hook line and sinker there, how you let yourself fall for such obvious bait

Yeah, swings and roundabouts. If marquees and pubs and other outlets can just spring up and benefit from the new stadium, then the downside can happen too and people will have to suck it up. That's the market. Have the Bramley-Moore Pub people been on the BBC to moan about tripling their takings?

Businesses want all the benefits of these things but scream blue murder if they lose out. The time to oppose this or lobby the council was when planning permission was being granted. Mind you, yer man is entitled to look for a solution from the council. But as we can see, they just blame the club.

He’s got a fair point, you would hope as a rate paying small business, someone from the council would have contacted them.
I’d be a bit annoyed if both access routes to my business were closed and no alternative was offered.
That said he might also see the opportunity of of doing a sideline every fortnight for passing fans - not sure exactly where they are but if there’s significant foot traffic passing theres a host of opportunities on match days.

Well they do do maritime law but they do all sorts. Dave is close to being right because they used to have a huge defendant insurance practice which worked against ambulance chasers:
lawyers will generally represent anyone who asks them to. Lawyers dont (generally) believe in the cause behind the argument, they are merely advocates for that argument.
