Tbf and honest, spuds have always been an attractive team to watch.
Always stuck a bit more on the attendance at Goodison before the pl explosion.
Good travelers back then, not as game as arsenal..
I never minded Spurs, when growing up. I must say I really admired Jennings,(imagine he crossed over to the Gunners!!) Gilzean, Peters, Perryman, Chivers.

I agree they tend to have been proper footballers. Everton's School of Science seems to have reopened after years of Borstal.

We’re probably the biggest draw in town for it though - it’s not like City and Newcastle, we’re already the 9th richest club in world football, more PSR headroom than any club in the league, lowest wages to revenue in the league and European regulars.

We’ve just won Europes second trophy and had a very decent transfer window. It’s not going to take a couple of decades to catch up on the revenue stakes, we make more than anyone on a match day - we just need ownership that are a little more adventurous and a proper football structure.

Rumour is we will be sold inside 12 months.

As for the Middle East money/morals - it’s football, what morals?
Arabs taking over a club with strong Jewish traditions
How will that go down with the fanbase ?

Every team messes these situations up - look at Fergies United, 8 points clear with 6 games to go. Losing to Deportivo in the CL, then Porto, almost beating Barca in the final. You can say it about every side going as it happens to everyone, even your neighbours getting 90 points plus but finishing second to City or throwing away a 3-0 lead to Palace with 10 mins to getting Karius’d in the CL final, Gerrards slip. City themselves losing cup finals to Wigan and Palace.

That makes them all bottlers - but apparently it’s only us. Yet when we win Europes second cup and finish 17th - that’s not considered Spursy. Or being the side to stop United winning the quadruple in 99 or beating title winning Chelsea in the league cup final in 08 or coming back from 3-0 down in Amsterdam with 45 mins to go with Kane injured, Son suspended and Llorente leading the line.

Hence why after the Europa win the club now sells merchandise with “lads it’s Tottenham” and “Spursy” written on it. Apply special rules to us and we will just rub it in their faces when fortune reverses
Yeah, a club doing it once or twice over the span of 20 years inbetween massive success is bottling it much less than winning nothing while having some of the best players around and being a constant "ah but we almost got it, 3-5th and nothing else is okay though". Celebrating 17th and the cup this way further proves this.

Our neighbours finishing 2nd in that season but winning or being in the final of everything else is not even a comparison? Is that 2012 United you mean, when they lost the direct match vs City and essentially that's what cost them, to go with Aguero's actual magic? The same United that won the league the next year? Ok mate.

Winning the EL and almost getting relegated is hilarious, but if you wanna consider it "Spursy" (cringe term btw), go for it. If anything, Moyes already had that achievement the year before with WHam and flirting with relegation all season; yous fell off later compared to them.

We'll see how you get on, but "lads, it's Tottenham" anyway.

Well Englands first ever openly Muslim footballer (BBCs terminology) is DJed Spence - he doesn’t seem bothered by it.

Manor Solomon has been vilified by a lot of our fans for his comments on the Israel/Palestine conflict.

I don’t think it will prove to be too much of a hurdle - it’s money at the end of the day and Spurs offers a strong route into the American and NFL market. With no stadium sponsor name currently, New owners could call it the Qatar airlines stadium and pay £150m a year for the privilege to do so

Mate if Spursy means being Englands 4th most successful side in Europe, getting to the CL final, constantly qualifying for Europe, winning the Europa despite being appalling in the league

Happy all day long

West Ham won the conference league with a manager who has failed to win anything with yourselves and then sacked him - is that Spursy?
