2025/26 Adam Aznou

I'm sick of him. He's held Everton back. People like to kid themselves he's been a major success for us when he hasn't.

Seeing him waltz into the press conferences with his sub-Ancelotti coffee cup sipping routine is hysterical when all he's won is the lowest ranking euro trophy there is in his 30 year career as a manager.
I would class taking a persistent relegation fodder team from 4th from bottom to 13th with 23 point clear of the bottom 3 with the same team in 4 months a major success Dave. By the way, that lowest ranking Euro Trophy is more than Everton have won in the last 30 years i.e zilch.

I am actually enjoying watching Everton again and i hope he wins us a Trophy no matter how low ranking it is. There is plenty of room in our cabinet.

Some of our worst performances came when Moyes took over after Dyche...including one about 3 weeks ago.

I wont deny in the latter half of last season he got us more adventurous and abandoned the caution, but he himself said that without the defensive organisation to build on that Dyche left that would have been impossible.

Since then he's had a £125M gross spend this summer on attacking players mostly, so I'd certainly expect better football than what a manager who endured a massive negative net spend while here was able to produce.

You are forgetting the Nations League.
Who in their right mind would celebrate that?

WTF!! I popped in to see if anybody else had watched Aznou playing for the u21s the other night and what their views were. I’m not sure how his thread came to dominated by the usual suspects spouting about something completely different. Very sad.
If anyone is interested, he looked a cut above the other players with a good touch and control of the ball , plus a nice turn of pace. Hopefully we’ll see more of Aznou.

Yeah thats good still hope myko can get fit for the villa game but really hope we can see him push on aznou. I am curious if this break we could maybe see him come in if myko if injured or moyes will try another player.

Do you think moyes would try him if myko was out injured i kno looked abit too soon vs roma, but i would maybe say was down to not working with the squad enough and the manager. I kno is a risk but with obrien playing as a rb does give us the option to play more as a 3

To be honest I haven’t seen enough of him to make me think Moyes will take a risk and pitch him into a PL game , he’ll likely have him bench then subbed on first . It all depends on what he shows in training .

Moyes' body language when asked about Aznou's absence from contention was shifty to say the least.

Everyone was surprised (and suspicious) about his situation.
….there’s absolutely no need to be underhand about this. Moyes ‘subbed the sub’ with Aznou in a friendly, that would likely be for an injury which was confirmed days later.

Moyes might well be of a view that the lad isn’t ready to play (Roma did get in behind him for their goal) and it seems we were after Chilwell on loan but I can’t see why we’d be cloak and dagger making up an injury to cover something else.
I come down the side of eggs here Dave.

I don’t think there’s any dishonesty going on.

Wonder if Moyes would be keener to give him minutes as a wingback if we do any 3-at-the-back this season, which he has played around with before.

So now you've got a problem with him drinking coffee?

No person in the right mind would have an issue with him sipping coffee in a presser.

Just sit back think about what you're actually posting ha.
