2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Still it was was pretty damming on the lad as it was right back being the first attempt of new regime tried sign. Reckon he is way down the pecking order, Obrien will continue to be integrated into first team like Lescott all those year back and will slot into Tarks position next season/ish. Patterson as it is now is essentially finished in Everton's first team.
He should have gone this summer.

I think the injuries plus the whole Dyche saga… it’s just not worked for the lad… genuinely I hope (like Chermitti) he goes to an Italys (or rangers in Chermitti a case) or something and rips it up - seems to be a great league for the Tartan lads right now.

I hope so mate, but I’d be surprised.

For Nathan himself he needs to kick start his career - he’s wasting his time here.

Scouting team will be sent out today with a brief to find a starting right back here we will blow a shed loan of money on on the next two windows.

He’s wasted another year I feel and will loose more of his lustre. He’s getting bad career advice from his representatives.
Like any player he needs a prolonged run of games to settle within any team set up(whoever is in charge!) , he has never been able to do this due to sustaining long term injuries whenever he managed to be considered for a first team start.

Whether or not he is good enough is definitely up for debate but as for his representatives giving him poor direction or wasting his or Everton's time by staying put, I think if he's ever going to develop into the player that his early potential promised then he has the perfect manager in Moyes to coach, encourage and advise him to become the injury free, confident, contributing regular right back that the club's investment deserves.

Good me too, so as someone who has an English accent because of said sectarian violence you can understand my utmost distain for people who base their sole opinions primarily on sectarianism.

But let’s not lie about the stats. He played most of the time he was available and deemed fit (whether you believe that or not i really DGAF) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Your stats are wrong. He sat on the bench when Lampard arrived for a good few games before making his debut against Boreham Wood.

Think he spent a bit of time playing with the under 21's.

Correct. In Lampard’s first season (or half season given he took over end of January) he had Patterson as an unused substitute 7 times.

Only giving him one appearance v Boreham Wood and he hauled him off at half time.

Of course players moving from other leagues are always deemed fit and should play immediately when they are on the bench and don’t need any time getting used to the intensity and new surroundings.

Let’s include thoee

Davek’s comment is still clearly wrong… which was the whole point.

You said when available he played under Lampard.

You said when available out of the 12 times he played 10 of them.

You're wrong.

I honestly think its a shame he didnt take a loan to a lower league to get some confidence and playing time. He just doesn't look a natural athlete to me so dropping down and a slower paced league could have been the answer. Hope he makes it

I agree with this mate.

The issue for me though, is he's had a few managers now and basically they haven't fancied him. When it's one manager I tend to think it may be on them. But you can see Moyes really wants to give him a try, but just doesn't see it.

It's a shame, as he's a great age, and honestly I always like to see Scottish lads do well because our our historical ties to Scottish players. If he could go back to Rangers, I do wonder if that might be the best move for him. I think Chermiti will be a great signing for you guys!
