so if desperate

o’brien/coleman/garner aye!
Chermiti didn’t have to go but to get £8m isn’t bad, plus was he really up to premier league football probably not. It’s mad O’Brien isn’t a RB Garner isn’t a RB and Coleman shouldn’t even have a playing contract. Oh don’t forget good old Patterson as well ffs 😂 while a 3rd striker would have been handy who’s coming to sit on the bench? A tyrese Campbell or another chermiti type signing? So again I can see everyone’s obsession with a RB when we don’t currently have a first team one good enough, if you think O’Brien and garner are the answer might as well give travers or king a go as 3rd striker.

your obsessing over a RB when we have some you should obsess more over a striker!

Went with a 7 just because imo think we missed out on signings that we needed. The way the PL is going, we will lose games not because of quality, just because teams have more pace than us and will over run us in the middle and wing bank flanks. I would of loved us to have added pace, speed and strength in the middle of the park but happy with the additions.

Obviously we couldn’t fix everything this window nor the winter one either. It’s been a good output of players and have seemed to improve the squad quality, mentality and depth and upgraded the quality.

Still think the lack of a quality of the RB position and centre forward will be our undoings in games this season.

Shame to not get a rb in, but with the amount of players we needed this summer I'm impressed by how much they've managed to raise the standards.

Good early signs for our new transfer team imo. Looking at what the market has been like I think Barry, Dibling, Aznou, KDH, Alcaraz, Rohl all represent excellent value for money.

As I’ve said a position that’s needed covering for sometime. We’ve just plugged that position for last few years as we’re doing now with O’Brien, considering what we needed to get in it was a good window, but overlooking a RB again is poor, of course we wasn’t going to get everything we needed hopefully we will both be happy come the end of January and we have a first choice RB and another ST in.

One thing I will say is that along with improving squad depth and quality - which we have - we have avoided a lot of those hostage-to-fortune deals that the likes of Villa have now indulged in. Martinez is dropped, now has to stay, they miss out on Grealish yet take Sancho on loan, etc...

Lots of weird moves from them which suggest a level of chaos.

That's rubbish. We had one of the best defenses in the league last year. Why focus on the negatives? Even in the upcoming windows I would sooner we prioritise a striker and a Gana replacement over fullbacks. They really aren't that important whilst other areas need strengthening.
Yeah, a whole position that was known to be problematic (full backs aren't important is also certainly a great take) will now not be a problem at all, all year, with no one to cover for it, based on "hope the 1 player we have doesn't get injured".

Something something chains and weakest links or whatever, but that doesn't matter for us I guess.
