Just watched his interview, really like how he spoke and what he had to say, and about his choice of shirt number - seems a genuine, down to earth kid who just wants to work hard and do his best.
Yes, all new players at all clubs, are told what to say. For us usually "big club, huge history, passionate fans, etc," and he said all that, so the doubters amongst our fanbase will be appeased now. BUT, he also came across as genuine, very "German" in fact, grounded, sensible. Not immodest but confident. And his English was great, he was articulate, educated, which all helps.

The stuff about his shirt number choice (Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks is a great story) and what he can bring to the team were telling for me, I really liked that.

Came across very “German” like you say, self belief, confident but not cocky.

Hope he does really well here.

Yup, I think if we can get a grip on his fitness we might have a decent addition here who could prove useful over the next few seasons.
