What was our total spend in the end?

One thing that’s impressed me is how well we’ve done in comparison to what others have spent in the window.

Always feel when teams have kicked on their success is always negated by how they’ve splashed the cash to get there.

Would be amazing for us to do it the right way and start competing with shrewd business and through hard work and a thought out long term plan. Also really like how we’ve signed what seems really good lads. Humble, ready to give it their all. Think that side of things can’t be underrated either

Well we also have 0 adequate right backs, maybe that's why people are obsessed
That's rubbish. We had one of the best defenses in the league last year. Why focus on the negatives? Even in the upcoming windows I would sooner we prioritise a striker and a Gana replacement over fullbacks. They really aren't that important whilst other areas need strengthening.

I'd be interested to see a re-run of this vote in December... because really, there's no way of knowing how happy we are with the window now.

The proof is in the pudding - and the pudding, in this case, is a football.

This is a fantastic point.

Everyone was creaming there kecks that summer when Walsh bought every number 10 under the sun and more and called it a glourious summer.

Fast forward a few years and Marcel " He takes what he wants " Brands signed Moise Kean and he was walking on water in the eyes of people on here.

I think there are some fair points in there personally. 9 players sounds a lot but when you break it down there’s 2 keepers to replace the 2 who left, a back up left back with very little experience, a player we already had on loan etc. we’ve done some good stuff but there’s no need to get carried away until we see how it works out. People have been saying we’ve improved every summer since I can remember but it’s rare it turns out we really have. I’m happy enough with what we’ve done but there’s no need to make out like it’s been a miraculous window just yet.
Eh? The number of summers were I think we have improved since the start of the premier league I can count on one hand. In the last 15 years we've only had about 3 or 4 windows that I can remember were we brought in a reasonable number of players. This is the best window I can remember and the upgrades are there for all to see. Think about how far Dwight McNeil, before last season our most creative player, is away from the starting line up. He'll be seriously struggling to get any serious game time now.

Fullbacks aren't important????? ;)OK then..... Let us move on quickly.

The difference here is we have signed one proven top top level performer who has done it in the premier league and champions league in Grealish. Two players with at least a season in the premier league in KDH and Dibling. And the balance of players we have bought works. A tall rangy midfielder who eats up the ground and is a physical beast is exactly what we were missing.

well i am you know why?
we’ve got players that make me happy
I think this is a massive difference to previous years.... we have players who can excite the fans, and you can see different options now especially across that midfield!

Many have said that at this moment in time largely the players we have brought in along with the squad we had anyway are all in most cases a likeable lot. I know this can change quite quickly if we struggle, but they are a team you can get behind especially if they can continue as they started!

Kean never got the support he needed, from the club or the fans mate.

Maybe, just maybe, they looked at available RB's. Didn't fancy the fit/price/ whatever and targeted other areas( very successfully).Whisper it l, but they might actually know what they are doing. Will upset some on here, but it is a thought.
