Digital tickets

I thought that at first then thought id probably prefer that to never updating and being in a panic the day before the game
There is this nightmare, probably what some poor work experience lad has been told to do at the ticket office.

“Right son, just keep hitting that refresh button every 10 mins ok, I’ll come back and get you at 5pm, and I’ll bring you a luvly blue doughnut, there’s a good lad.”

I'm getting a little jittery before the game because I have the email but nothing in my wallet yet. The process still feels erratic, even though you would think it would be more seamless by now. I'm hoping it just appears at the last minute, as usual.

Can someone help an old codger please?
Explain in laymans terms how i go about transferring a ticket (Aston Villa) to my mate as i cannot now attend the game.
I am not a season ticket holder - we are both ForeverBlue + members and he is added to my friends and family.
I phoned the ticket office and they have said you can only transfer a season ticket.
There must be a way, but i can't find anything - please be gentle and give me a step by step way of getting my ticket to a mate.
Jesus, this is how we all got tickets for years and years, there will be empty seats everywhere.

Question...Have you downloaded the ticket from the email you recieved, onto your own phone yet?

If "No", just forward that email to your friend, they will be able to click on the ticket link on the email to download the ticket to their own phone.

If "Yes", first, go into your phone wallet, delete / remove the ticket from there, THEN forward the email to you friend.

Bare in mind that the ticket will still have your name / customer number on it when he uses it.

Try forwarding him the original email that your ticket came with (I’m assuming that’s how you got it) and the attached link for the ticket. Edit- what the above poster said.

Thanks for this, done all that and it appears to have worked OK, it's in his Google wallet.
Is it OK that he's using a different phone etc on the day?

Can you tell me if this would be the same process if I wanted to transfer my ST to a new phone with a new number.

I believe so yes. I wouldn't be surprised if EFC have something in place to track how many times someone 're-downloads' their season ticket to a different device though. If they have, doing it too many times may raise suspicions, as it could be a way of passing on a ST without having to use the Transfer Portal.

I had a situation last week where my iphone broke, and I had absolutely noway of removing my ST from that phone's wallet. As the ST can only be stored on one Apple device at a time, I had to contact the Box Office and they cancelled my original digital ST, and issued a brand new link for me to add my ST to my new phone. But hopefully you wouldn't need to do that.

I use android so I’m not that familiar with apple wallet. On android if you login to a new phone with your original gmail account then the wallet contents are transferred to the new phone automatically even if you cannot access the old phone at all. Does this not happen with Apple? On android the restriction seems to be a ticket can only be linked to one google account as opposed to one physical device.
