He's not super technically gifted but he's tall and fast and he runs all day (sometimes to the point of injury)

So he could sub in for Idrissa during AFCON.

It's really not that left field, as if 35 year old Gueye goes down with injury he would be a solid replacement.

He made less than half the number of tackles and interceptions that Gana did per game. He's not a Gana sub at all

a) Hardly anyone is up there with Gana tbf
b) Rohl played a variety of roles when he did play last season, and was used sparingly minutes wise due to his injury riddled year.
