The delusion of people on here when it comes to Keane is insane.

He is crap. He consistently plays at the start of the season every year and we are crap defensively, Tarkowski looks shakey and we concede lots of goals.

Branthwaite will come back and the defence will settle down and stop being in permanent panic mode thanks to Keane.

He has been crap for the last 3 games as he is the start of every season.

People saying he should suddenly start being first choice are why we can’t have nice things.

He makes everyone on edge … it’s like he’s running around with a lit stick of dynamite and everyone is just waiting for it to go off

To not give keane any fault for the 2nd goal is nonsense.

I've played centre half (semi pro) for 30 years and one of the first things you get taught is to get infront of the front post from crosses. He doesn't do that!

He's not mental switched on and you can tell my his reaction.

Credit to the lad later in the game, there was a few crosses from the other side and he does do it and cuts them out

You haven't played semi-professional football for 30 years.

Delusional would also be ascribing Tarkowski’s struggles to the presence of Keane.
When in fact Tarkowski has been declining for some time now. He is still an effective player , but I think his body is beginning to fail him a little.
He will need replacing next season.
Keane is doing well at the moment and is part of a winning team.

Keane did very little to stop the cross for the 1st goal as well. He just dangled a leg out. Surely he should be launching himself at the ball to try to block the cross or am I being harsh.

He did brilliantly winning the ball back high up for our second yesterday, and has been performing better defensively than I thought he would to be fair to him, so credit where it’s due.

There are still lapses in concentration and his positioning can be horrendous, giving himself little chance to defend effectively, which still creates mass panic across the back line.

Tarks hasn’t covered himself in glory, and is declining clearly, but this could be due to the Keane effect.

Ideally we sign a proper right back and JOB can move into the centre with branthwaite after the international break, and then Keane and Tarks can fight over 3rd/4th choice cb.

Very clear after yesterday we need another centre back and a right back and also hope Aznou can make the grade . Branthwaite and O brien could then become the 2 starting centre backs. Lots of opinions on here on whose fault the 2 goals yesterday were but it was comical defending regardless and both goals should not of happened . it will be madness if we don’t sort this before tomorrow because the rest of team is falling in to place. Thought Grealish , Garner and KDH were super yesterday with Garner putting in a serious shift and making some really good tackles .. i will be amazed if this is not addressed before tomorrow … COYB

I agree that Tarkowski is on the decline. But Keane is a problem at the start of every season. Everyone also starts saying how poor Tarkowski looks during these runs and then all of that mysteriously vanishes when branthwaite comes back.

Keane sets the entire defense on edge and it shows in the performances of others.

I think Tarks is still pretty solid I feel with the right partner (someone with legs). I think his street smarts works well in combination with Brainthwaite.

I've noticed since Jack Grealish has been in the same team as Michael Keane he's played with panache and freedom, something we haven't seen for years.

It seems Keano makes players better.
