What a truly disgraceful stat that is.Last week ended a run of 143 straight matchdays where Everton was in the bottom half of the table. So no I’m not getting carried away.

You have to get carried away these days. I dont buy into the rubbish about building a team and taking time etc. I can see quality all over the pitch in this Everton team and with a couple of additions before the end of the window why not hope for big. The league seems to be more balanced this year where anyone can beat anyone more than ever. I think we could get top 5 and champions league football. There's a lot to be pleased about at the moment. The stadium, the new signings making a difference, some very nice football being played, and wins, glorious wins.
It's something I feel many of us has craved for some time - to feel good about Everton and thst we're on the up. Its lovely, genuinely great to have a feel good vibe.
But, and there's always a but, are we in danger of collectively getting carried away? We've been starved of the above for so long it's only right to indulge, but should we temper the enthusiasm slightly? Its still early days this season and there'll be bumps in the road.
We need to keep the positivity, but fall into the trap of setting ourselves up for a fall, with heads falling off over a setback imho.
Or am I just being a killjoy miserable so and so?
You sir, have just won the Internet. Treat yourself to a careless wispa.True. One moment they were top of the world, the next the lead singer was getting arrested outside a public lavatory.
Wispas are just the right size and shape. Allegedly. You sir, have just won the Internet. Treat yourself to a careless wispa.

Give it a fortnight…Its just so nice to feel fleetingly positive about Everton isn't it?
SensibleI think it's good to stay calm, we are likely going to have a 'palace' type season and win some lose some draw some whilst playing some great football
The squad needs more investment over a number of windows to be able to compete again but it's good to feel positive about the future
