In danger of getting carried away?

We might as well enjoy it; this is the first year in a long while I'm not concerned about relegation. By the same token though, I doubt we will be troubling the European places. Enjoy the good results but try not to melt down when we inevitably go 4-5 games without a win at some point.

Thanks mate. Tbh it's been the same ever since the divorce went through. Thank god I have the dogs to clean up the mess.

There has been a creeping increase in people clapping the attendance announcement and on Wednesday there were grown adults shouting SIUUUU when Alcaraz celebrated. Relegation is what the club needs to cleanse us of this plague.

There's a lot to be pleased about at the moment. The stadium, the new signings making a difference, some very nice football being played, and wins, glorious wins.

It's something I feel many of us has craved for some time - to feel good about Everton and thst we're on the up. Its lovely, genuinely great to have a feel good vibe.

But, and there's always a but, are we in danger of collectively getting carried away? We've been starved of the above for so long it's only right to indulge, but should we temper the enthusiasm slightly? Its still early days this season and there'll be bumps in the road.

We need to keep the positivity, but fall into the trap of setting ourselves up for a fall, with heads falling off over a setback imho.

Or am I just being a killjoy miserable so and so?
The rs bro in law was going on (borderline head pattery) about our good start.
I said - I've been seeing good starts on average every 2or3 yrs or so for the last 30yrs, let's win something how ever micky mouse - then talk about good starts.

None of the usual teams are what they used to be. There's a real opportunity for us this season. I'm not getting carried away as I'm an Everton fan

Plus they are all involved in European football.

Not getting carried away at all, but I was thinking that Grealish coming to us after our and his last few years is a little bit like when Maradona went from Barça to Napoli in his pomp.

Make some space in the trophy cabinet? ;)

Loving the Napoli analogy. It's on!

Nothing wrong with getting excited and hoping for more. This is an exciting team.

Just need to not get too big for our boots and become impatient if we hit a bump in the road.

A lot to be learned from Wham and their current predicament.
True. One moment they were top of the world, the next the lead singer was getting arrested outside a public lavatory.
