Today’s Football 25/26 Season

Yup - Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City would have got destroyed by peak Chelsea, Man Utd and Wenger Arsenal.

The standard has dropped and we are in the perfect position to capitalise. We have no European distractions this year.
I was replying to your post about not seeing anything to fear from Liverpool. They were absolutely turd the majority of last season too... They keep winning games. Wether that be opponents crapping it or the ref/VAR intervention. No matter how bad they are they win.

They dropped a generational stinker against Newcastle and still won, one of the toughest aways they’ll have. If I were to give people on this forum some friendly advice it would be to just not watch them, because you are rarely going to come away satisfied.

They did make hard work of a 10 man Newcastle. If they add Guehi and Isak though they are clear favourites.

You seem weirdly bothered by anyone that might be bothered by Liverpool winning.

This is an Everton forum isn’t it or have I gone to a parallel universe where you’re a boss blue if you accept them cantering to the title after 3 games?

Divvy Brighton fan.

What? You’re not only the only person that seemingly can’t deal with Liverpool winning a game (despite the fact they do it every week), but you’re also the only person that keeps mentioning Brighton every 2 minutes as well. Pick your head up off the floor.

It’s exciting! As much as we have to be careful and not get too big for our boots.
Don’t get me wrong…. I know we will ‘Everton’ some games, and others VAR will screw us over.

But with a solid defence and the attacking players we have brought in, whilst watching all teams these first few weeks….

We shouldn’t be worried about playing anyone

Arsenal done better than I expected. Especially when you consider the bulk of the game was played without 3 of their main men in Saka, Saliba and Odegaard. I think they will offer a bigger challenge for the title this year.

Arteta probably could have rolled the dice a bit more, and he did give them too much respect, but at the end of the day they’ve only be undone by a worldy free kick from 30+ yards in their hardest away game of the season.
