Concerned

So after:
3 wins in 6 days
Grealish being every bit the star he always was
KDH looking a steal at sub 30m
A promising young striker looking decent
The most exciting young winger in England signed
Moyes getting us playing some of the best football since first season Martinez…

Does anyone think they might’ve overreacted a touch?

If it wasn’t for that disgraceful penalty decision at Leeds we’d be joint top right now going into the international break after not winning a single game in August for years
If we had gone into that Leeds game with some sort of a plan to have a go at them instead of handing them the initiative from the start we might have got ourselves a win against a team that looks bang average. Glad we have shown a lot more in our games since, but I think our defense still needs sorting out cause its still early days and a few bad results will have this thread being very active.

Yep, I’ve got to hold my hands up, after the Leeds performance I was fuming. Happy to eat humble pie on this one

There’s nothing wrong with being fuming after that performance, it was probably the worst under Moyes since he’s back and it was partly because of injuries but mostly because of transfers taking too long. Long term I think they made the right decision waiting on the players we’ve got in so far even if it did mean a shocking first game

Dunno if it was this thread or not but I got plenty of pelters when I said it was worth not rushing to sign players before the season starts as long as we get the right players in that make us a better team long term.
I’m the same. I’d rather us sign nobody than getting crap players in for the sake of it and end up lumbered with more tat we can’t get rid of.

Yeah, I think this window is currently a solid 8/10

If we add a solid signing or two it could be even better but if we sign players for the sake of it who don’t seem to fit the needed positions (like Soucek or Mainoo) it could make it worse

Timely post.

We haven't played anyone that good yet. Leeds was awful, too.

But confidence and momentum matters, good to bad points against the bottom 10.

why does the 'kin international break always seem to come at a bad time for us?
