2025/26 Jack Grealish

Ndiaye needs to do this, he’s gonna get seriously injured being to honest trying to stay on his feet getting lumps kicked off him.
That's the hard part / fine line, when to...if you can...stay up and when to bow to the inevitable.
Poorer players and / or players in poor form tend to go down 'quicker' to cover their own lack of - skill?? confidence?? aka use it as a cop out...'I was just about to pass, shoot, score, when he whipped me down'

Playing for us suits Grealish's skill set, playing for City didn't in the end.

Kind of shows what's wrong with the game today - the Sky Clubs hoard all the best players, packing their benches with them, saving some for the European games etc. It's why there's such a massive gap between them and the rest of the Premier League. But Grealish was never completely at home playing against a low block every week. At his best - at Villa - he played in more open games, and he could dominate them. He'll get that here with us too. Dewsbury-Hall will benefit as well - being first on the team sheet every week, playing alongside pretty much the same players in Grealish and Ndiaye, instead of a revolving squad game.

If our lads can avoid injury, it could be the most enjoyable season in years for us, and for our players.

Aston Villa fan.

Jack was outstanding at villa mainly due to his amazing ability but because he was loved by a set of supporters that were passionate and partizan, just like Everton are, a great club who will love him for what he is, let him be the main man, let him play how he wants and show him the love he needs and hell have you in awe everyweek of how he is.

Hes hands down the best player ive ever seen at Villa, and there has been some good ones, i can gurantee as time goes on youll be majorly suprised how good he actually is.

Im happy hes at a great club with great fans like Everton now, cant wait too see his journey with you.

Legend.

Really surprised you didn't go in for him. Was that due to PSR constraints?

Said it at the time… Anyone who doubted that this was a huge signing just does not have a genuine understanding of the game.
I think the issue was whether he would give it his all at our club, or feel a bit sorry for himself and be here for a jolly. Im not sure anybody doubted his ability.
I was kind of on the fence about him. As long as he came with a desire to prove people wrong then he was always gonna be a big player.
I now actually feel, for the first time in years, that we can score goals at any stage of the match.

Been a while since I changed my profile pic.

We are fine in terms of PSR, but have UEFA contraints on wages as we spent 97% of our revenue on wages which is way above the threshold, so technically we can spend on transfer fees but not wages which makes no sense as for a big fee comes a big player which you then have to pay wages heavily, Jacks wages would of been an issue, i hate all the constraints, its all designed to keep the sky cartel 6 at the top and ambitious teams like villa and newcastle and even yourselves now to improve. When we finished 4th we could of spent millions but wernt allowed.

Jack will suit Everton perfectly, maverick player who will excite them fans and be the talisman.
