TV Series

Well, I rate it already as the worst series of the show. FFS. Worst actor ever. Cant watch him.
I know people who love Nicolas Cage and people who can't stand him. I used to not like how bored he sounded all the time, but then realized how he made it work and started liking his performances. Matchstick Men, Gone in 60 Seconds, Family Man...all fairly different movies where he played exactly the same guy, but somehow just different enough. He's pretty watchable to me now, but I used to be in your camp.

What about him makes him unwatchable to you?

As others have said, Alien: Earth is awful. Bunch of shocking actors playing incredibly dislikable characters.

I’ve got genuinely no idea how it has received such good reviews (unless it somehow turns into the greatest show ever made for the remaining however many episodes).

Finally got around to watching The Expanse.

Six series x 62 episodes.

It’s a magnificent series and space sci-fi at its best.

The first series is ropey, feels disjointed and done on a budget, but once you get past that it’s tremendous.

I won’t try and explain it, as it’s that complex, but the nuts and bolts of it are :

200 years in the future, there are three colonies, Earth, Mars and The Belt.

The Belt serves Earth and Mars, who are constantly on the edge of war with each other, whilst The Belt harbours a resistance movement, that is hostile to both. Throw in the discovery of an alien organism, with the power to conquer worlds and you’ve got the basic storyline.

Would’ve been a 10/10 if it wasn’t for the first series.

If you’re a sci-fi nerd and you haven’t seen it, it’s a must watch.
I’ve got to say this is tremendous tv advice.

I’m half way through season 4. It’s really doing it for me. Im going to be gutted when it’s over but then it’s foundation season 3 time, so should be getting my SciFi needs met for some time yet.

Onto ignore you go.
Nic Cage is a bonifide legend in my eyes, He must spend his life in trailers, he is always acting. Practically 2 movies a week. Also there are not many actors who take the risks he does, He has committed career suicide countless times and just doesn't care ... Also when required, he can act.
My life wouldn't be the same without Con Air or Faceoff. Warra guy.

I’ve now watched S1 E1 of Foundation 4 times over the years and I just cannot bloody stick with it even though I know I’m going to love the show 😂
It has good moments and bad moments. The good parts made me read the books. The bad parts are just bad and outright boring at its worst.

I liked season 1 even after having now seen the massive departures from the book. Some parts of season 2 I found a real struggle to get through. Gaal and the amount of changes they've made to keep the actress and her character relevant to the story is some of the worst stuff. I love the genetic Dynasty stuff though and would watch Lee Pace do anything.

He’s a huge tax bill to pay for it seems… means he will do most anything if the moneys right

Some ‘comedy’ characters in season 2 feel completely out of place with the tone of the show. The Gaal character seems miscast and is super annoying at times

In parts it felt like there was 2 different shows happening at the same time and it’s all about the Cleon storyline, which is superb.

Not started series 3 yet.
