The delusion of people on here when it comes to Keane is insane.
He is crap. He consistently plays at the start of the season every year and we are crap defensively, Tarkowski looks shakey and we concede lots of goals.
Branthwaite will come back and the defence will settle down and stop being in permanent panic mode thanks to Keane.
He has been crap for the last 3 games as he is the start of every season.

Me too. He's gone a tiny bit of the way to soften the blow of the sad departure of Ashley Young. He's my new fave.

Hypothetical nonsense. 1st he's pulled out of position due to horrendous defending from Mykolenko, if he doesn't go, he gets slaughtered. Tarks is more to blame than Keane, letting his man run off him. 2nd is solely on Mykolenko. Utterly baffling take. But expected from some.

I'm certainly not Keanes biggest fan but he has stepped up really well upto now.
I'd be the first to have a right old moan about him but as of now he's looked our best Centre Back.

As I said when conceded the 13 goals in 4 games last season, for me Keane was better than Tarkowski.
Since then the 1:1 game vs Leicester early last season, he started 10 games we conceded 7 and had 4 clean sheets in these (prem only)
To not give keane any fault for the 2nd goal is nonsense.
I've played centre half (semi pro) for 30 years and one of the first things you get taught is to get infront of the front post from crosses. He doesn't do that!
