2025/26 Beto

With more quality balls into the box, Beto will easily hit 10-15 goals
As he should. That should be the minimum expectation for any Everton striker.

We have a striker, who seems like an incredibly nice human being, whose biggest fans feel the need to post “he’s controlled the ball well today”

It’s absolutely rubbish if we don’t get a first choice striker in, in the coming days, massive opportunity missed.

How many teams in the league would swap their first choice striker for Beto? Possibly 6? So that means there’s 13 clubs with better strikers.

When was the last time we had a 15 goal a season striker? Lol.I really don't get the Beto hate. He scores goals. End of story

According to the premier league website Beto has scored 12 in 63 appearances.

Based on that average he will get between 6-8 league goals this season

He's more settled now and has better players around him. The likes of Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall and Garner playing well. He scored 10 in all comps last season.

I don't get the hate at all tbh. He looked decent second half of last season and gets in good positions. He's not as good as Lukaku but his return will be as good as anyone else that's played for us since then.

It's weird when Lineker first came one of my biggest criticisms was that he lacked ball control and he went on to score 40 odd goals. People felt the same about Rom it seems if you score a bunch people forget about ball control.

It’s not hate. I don’t think any true Everton fan could hate him. I could never hate anyone who cares as much as he clearly does. His passion is incredible. In fact, if you could add his passion to succeed at Everton in to the likes of James or Lukaku then we’d of seen some great stuff. But fact is, he’s had 3 managers during his time at club, all of which see him day to day and not one of them have truly fancied him, add that to what we’ve seen, where his bad performances (regardless of goals) have massively outweighed his good performances, then it tells me he’s not the answer if the question is do we need a good striker.

As said earlier, his biggest fans take the time to talk about him controlling a ball a few times in a game. To me that should be a prerequisite, but who knows. If he scores 12-15 this season then he will of proven me wrong.
