Are there any statisticians or historians in this forum that know when was the last time we were 1 point out of first place?

Other teams still have to play this weekend of course but it feels like forever since I looked at the table and saw us sitting in the Top Five...
We were top of the league at one point under ancelotti, we’d just beat palace away from home and then spirit of the blues made it into the music charts

We were on 13 games and were one away from the joint record which is supposeldy Man City who went 14 games about 5 years ago think it was. Forgot when i listened to it, whichever YouTube link i watched
Everton haven’t conceded more than once in any of their last 13 away Premier League matches (W5 D4 L4), though did lose 1-0 last time out at Leeds. The last side to have a longer run was Manchester City between October 2021 and May 2022 (14).
;)

Quite funny thinking about West ham fans wanting rid of moyes cos he didn't play the West ham way? Wtf is that? I just remember them getting relegated all the time and playing crap football apart from a couple of seasons in the 80s. We've played some good stuff under moyes and often have. Obviously we have seen some cross but I don't really get it.

"He's better than I thought he was... he's so good"

Couldn't stop laughing when I heard that. The "he's so good" just came out automatically by Moyes, he couldn't stop himself. He knows we've got ourselves an outrageous player here.

The west ham way is to all buy into something they like the sound of and try to convince the rest of the country it was always a thing

It's almost like, if you give him some of the quality he wants with a dash of that little bit of X factor, then he's actually quite able to deliver. Got the nastier half of 19 games last season and had us top 6 form. With that load of old tripe (squad). Let's tell no lies, we've had to spend a few quid this summer, but isn't it nice with the new ground and some tasty footy to savour on our pitch. Most successful August in the clubs history?
