Decided to give Dog Soldiers a go, since you are pretty much spot on with your choices, etc.
At first, I didn't think it would be any good, but I ended up liking it.

It's a classic. Haven't seen it in forever so unsure how it's aged!

Reviews had put me off watching it but I thought it was great. Aged well too.

Went to watch Jaws in IMAX last night for it's 50th anniversary, favorite movie of all time, just brilliant. Must have seen it over 100 times at this stage

I watched "The Gorge", which is a great premise, but to me the movie was at first too cutesy, and then just seemed to turn into "Resident Evil". I really liked to concept and wish a different director took it in a different and dark way. There are some cringey music montages, especially the Christmas one, and for two people guarding the gates of hell, they sure seem pretty okey-dokey with it.

I also watched "Sinners" which was really good, and an original take on a Vampire film...which is hard to do, since vampires have been done to death. This one takes place in rural Mississippi in early 1930s. I enjoyed it.

It never gets mentioned in the same breath as the Shining, or the Shawshank, despite being right up there.
