I liked it when we did a brief winger side switch and he popped up on the right for a bit. Good to see we can be flexible within a game.

He’s brilliant. A brilliant player but I also feel as though he’s exactly the kind of personality/character to breathe some new life into the place and give everybody involved with the club the lift that we’ve desperately needed.
My worry as I said in the match thread is that commentators will start to create a narrative of him as a diver and cheat who goes down easily now he’s at little old Everton - as opposed to a clever player who wins free kicks. You just know Boss Blue Carra will be all over this.

We wont be paying 50m, Moyes is gonna spend the next 12 months saying how skint we are and we cant afford him, hes gonna get him for a Kit Kat and a Mars Bar.
Some players just shouldn’t be stifled.
I get all the best teams need cogs, but there’s always a couple of players you need to to just let play their game.
