2025/26 David Moyes

Don’t disagree, and most certainly don’t want him to fail, but his record as the 3rd longest serving EPL manager isn’t exactly littered with trophy’s.
And before anyone piles in with how great 7th or 8th would be after the years of dross, he’s been handed some very good signings to go with some of the decent players already here.
One season of that fine, two seasons and nothing to show for it but magnificent 7th again doesn’t do it for me I’m afraid, I’m I suspect it won’t do for TFG either.

Hopefully he makes me choke on humble pie as we’ll have won something and can justifiably say he’s been successful.
Literally the first summer of his second tenure. And the first time he has had money without needing to sell at Everton. He ain’t going to fix years of mismanagement with one summer or even two. If he managed to get us to top 6 by his second season here he will be doing very well

David Moyes is a quality Premier League manager, he isn’t flashy, he isn’t TV friendly but he knows how to get players to play. To think there were people wanting to hang on to Sean Dyche rather than bring him back, in hindsight that would have been an act of self harm. Hopefully he can get in a couple more players before the window closes on Monday and then get the team settled in and we are set for the season.
I think he is tv friendly in every way now

His interviews always have a warm and respectful tone because he’s recognised as one of the longest service premier league managers of all time

Now if you mean tv friendly in terms on play style you just need to look at those last two goals today from the team he’s helping build - slick passing, fast moving sexy goals!

Yes Moyes like a defence to be solid, but this guy is responsible for Arteta, Pienaar, Graveson, Fellaini, Baines, Mirallas and now KDH, Grealish and Dibling - the man wants results first but when we get the chance we’re gonna play some very good football this season!

Out of curiosity, between the last 19 games of last season and the first 4 of this… who would you have preferred to have in charge?
Yeah, maybe there’s a time in future seasons we think we’ve gone as far as we can under a manager who’s not renowned for winning trophies or breaking into the top four but right now I don’t think anyone could’ve done better, and in such a classy way really getting the fans (majority) back on side too

He did his utmost to throw that away.

Waiting until Wolves scored to get the maojrity of our subs on.

When we went to 3-1 we should have been 3 subs or so used to break up the play and put that game to bed.

The feller's a dinosaur.

It’s Moyes MO to leave the subs too late & bring on defenders to protect the lead resulting in pressure at the end of games. Was hoping at 3 - 1 it might be a comfortable win but same old.
