David Moyes is a quality Premier League manager, he isn’t flashy, he isn’t TV friendly but he knows how to get players to play. To think there were people wanting to hang on to Sean Dyche rather than bring him back, in hindsight that would have been an act of self harm. Hopefully he can get in a couple more players before the window closes on Monday and then get the team settled in and we are set for the season.

Its amazing the difference just 12 months makes. We look worlds different, we have started near the top of the table, and for large portions of it just passed the ball around for fun. Huge win to just ease the pressure and let us have a low-stress season. I think at this point, while we would all like to someone grab a european spot, just having a undramatic midtable finish would be a big step up.

He is edging us into a position that we can possibly compete for a trophy. No better man to aid us to that position rather than looking over our shoulder all the time. He has even said himself we need more windows but just compare to the Dyche team and before and you can see he has us on the up big time
Don’t disagree, and most certainly don’t want him to fail, but his record as the 3rd longest serving EPL manager isn’t exactly littered with trophy’s.
And before anyone piles in with how great 7th or 8th would be after the years of dross, he’s been handed some very good signings to go with some of the decent players already here.
One season of that fine, two seasons and nothing to show for it but magnificent 7th again doesn’t do it for me I’m afraid, I’m I suspect it won’t do for TFG either.

Hopefully he makes me choke on humble pie as we’ll have won something and can justifiably say he’s been successful.

Close victories are better than blowouts. You learn lessons. Myko needs to come across and clear that with his right foot next time. Lesson learned. Easy victory next time. Good from Davey.
