We were streets ahead of Wolves but they got lucky with both goals (they don't get both if Branners was playing). The way this Blues side is playing is miles ahead of last season. So much control with the new guys pulling the strings and if we can get a couple more in before the deadline then a push for Europe can definitely be on this season.

Correct. The primary issue with Keane isnt even his defending. Its he panics and just boots the ball back to the other team, letting them constantly attack us. Go back and look how many times in that match he had plenty of space and the chance to make a 5 yard pass to an open teammate breaking the pressure, but instead just wacked it anywhere(AKA, back to Wolves).

He puts you under so much pressure, eventually you break.

The enduring image I absolutely hate seeing is the ball coming across the 6 yard box, Keane facing his own goal running into the middle of it as he watches the ball go in front of him, then as it’s tapped in he lashes the rebound back into the net and drops his head. How many times have we seen that, and yet again today he’s in that ridiculous position as the ball goes across for the 2nd goal. Yes the two fullbacks are also at fault, yes Tarkwoski isn’t playing well, but honestly that positioning is just criminal and he does it again and again and again. He can’t deal with balls across the areas.

We’d all be having a very different discussion if the Wolves forward had sunk that late chance in.

No lead is enough when Keane is on the pitch. Im guaranteed you now if Branthwaite plays that game we see it out from 3-1 up with ease.

Can't it just be somewhere in the middle? He's been solid and clearly better than Tarks and deserves credit, but he's hardly been blameless and shouldn't really be starting for us regularly.
