New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Ok wrong thread I know but anyone missing Goodison already? Get down there later for the ladies vs Juventus if you can.

I think this needs saying in this thread. Use it or lose it! Goodison staying put is only 'permanent' if enough people attend. If people don't attend in big enough numbers they WILL be encouraged to take the easy and financially obvious option to tear it down, sell and move the women to the Hill Dickinson. Note - Aston Villa and Arsenal women have already moved into their main grounds at Villa Park/Emirates and others will do the same in due course - make sure that does not happen in our case.

Don't forget to bring yer boots!

I take it they sacked off the special smell in the stadium? No-one has mentioned it. It was revealed in 2024 when various journos were give a stadium tour that the club had a commissioned a special scent that “fans would smell during games.”

It was said to be based on “Salt from the Mersey and freshly cut grass.”

Quite a safe choice given the massive river 100 yards away and the big patch of grass.

Was it to overpower the Sandon Dock smell ? 😄

The advantage that we have in continuing to have Goodison in use for the ladies is that it is a home ground that is historically linked to the club and bang in the middle of the community where Everton grew as a football club for over 100 years. A lot of other clubs ladies teams have played well away from their home ground and apart from a couple of games here and there at the main ground don`t seem to pull much of a crowd.

Horsesh!t and hamburgers is a proper match smell.

Was that in the Lower South and they've effectively sold a standing space?

Obviously bad still, but given there is four of them together if she did want to sit down she could. Strange as you would expect every row to have a gap or at least every so many rows.
Im convinced that’s block 247, where we were for the Roma game. We had seats 21, 20 and 19, and a poor bloke had seat 18, which didn’t exist. I posted about it on here after the Roma game. The bloke spoke to the head steward, who couldn’t solve it either, so if it’s the same seat, the club knew about it before Brighton. I even asked the bloke if it was his season ticket seat and he said fortunately not!

It was noticeable leaving the ground on Sunday. Wasn’t nice but it was only a small stretch of the Dock Road heading away from town.

Seems an obvious problem, which means, Everton will have no idea how to deal with it. Fans can't pass tickets to family members who support Everton, but Seat Unique can sell tickets to RS. Which proves whole nonsense about digitalisied tickets to stop touting is a load of BS.
The same thing can happen the other way round too, we could buy seat unique tickets for Anfield derby ?

I'm about 99.9% certain this has been posted by an utter baldy, the irony. Come on lad, show us yer hair!
Do me a favour lad, got I’ve a full head of hair as you can see below.

Somebody questioned why there were blocks of empty seats for both home games, especially the Mansfield game, when both games were declared sold out. My RS friends tell me that we have to start getting accustomed to a world in which American owners are intent on screwing as much money out of expensive seats which ordinary folks can't afford. Eventually Everton will find more customers who will pay eye watering prices for special deals, hotels, meals, car parking etc. Apparently Analfield has a large section of Stanley Park for parking allocated to these privileged types who now number in the thousands. Everton may need to build such a car park near BMD.
The new world, like it or not.

Season before last, Stanley Park was charging £10 for Everton games. Last season they put it to £13. When I queried this at parking entrance, the guy collecting said- "Your lucky it's not a Liverpool game. They charge £50 to park on match day" Is that right?
