Homepage Article How To Solve A Problem Like Club View?

There's 2 lifts with a capacity of about 12 each in it to service 2000 supporters. So mainly stairs yeah.
I explored a bit at half time yesterday and apparently there are two banks of three lifts each in East stand but in reality 4 lifts out of 6 only go to tier 2 and only two lifts in total go to tier 3. In addition at present the club are using all three lifts in each bank for tier two so trying to get a lift for tier three is especially difficult as there’s only one lift and it’s shared with tier 2. Club view is probably also the biggest section of East upper. The club are apparently considering restricting the 3 storey lift to club view only to improve flow although the other two lifts also service North and South stand respectively. There probably is enough lift capacity for wheelchair users and more severely disabled but what there isn’t provision for is those that can walk but just not necessarily up 5 flights of stairs. An added complication is that when it’s a cup game as last night the bank of three lifts at the North end of South stand is reserved for away fans as they are using tier 2 and the associated turnstiles. This means on a cup game there will only ever be one lift available for club view. If that is out of service then that means no lifts at all for tier 3. This aspect was not well thought out in the planning stage.

I’m not sure if this is because they are still updating the system but saying I can’t resell club view tickets as they are classed as ‘hospitality’. Transferring is fine.

Anyone else been able to resale? I can’t see any reference on the official site that it’s not allowed.

North end of the South stand?

Will be looking to move 10 seats to the left of me next season. For half the price and better concourse services.

Walked from club view across the seats to level 2 and the walk through shop is right there

It sounds like the biggest issue after this weeks games is the lack of lifts or escalators to get to the higher tiers. Not heard much about the problems at Sandhills or congestion on exiting the ground after the game. Have these issues been resolved?

Depends on definition of issues. Things like escalators / lifts won’t be fixed this season. The queues were better but in reality that was largely as there was no £10 credit to try and spend. What they will be like for the Villa game though is anyone’s guess. I suspect it will be similar to Brighton. Issues like lack of shelves / tables to put a drink are obviously still present. They could do something about this before Villa but who knows.
It's likely this will not be fixed any time soon, if at all, because to install escalators post-build would require major remedial works to the stadium.

It would significantly impact on the floor plan of the level 0, 1 and 2 as it would require a substantial cut out of each concrete slab and items moved.

LOR drew up plans for more escalators around the ground, including the club shop, but being entirely honest the rising cost put an end to that.

Sandhills was great for both Brighton and Mansfield. Loads of staff and frequent trains. I was one of those really concerned about this but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. There will still be issues if there’s a technical problem / trespasser etc but that’s unavoidable. My only worry is that over time they cut back on the staff levels and number of trains to reduce costs. I’m also not entirely sure how things would work for a Boxing Day fixture etc.

I knew we wouldn’t be able to resell them as it was in the FAQ’s. Interesting that they’re saying it’s as it’s classed as ‘hospitality’. If it was actually hospitality though then we should be able to transfer the tickets to anyone but we can’t as we don’t have access to the hospitality portal. I’m not really bothered about that but does irritate me that family members have to pay for a membership to receive a ticket. Does anyone know if this restriction of needing a membership to receive a ticket applies to club view as well or can you get away with just a customer number. It would be nice to have least one perk………

Just re read that FAQ and it says “official members” so presumably no. I should imagine the issue is it would hack off seat unique selling tickets at £200 a pop if they appeared on the resale site for much less than that.
