New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Based purely on my one visit on Sunday, menacing may not be the word that could be applied to our new home. Im talking of the acoustics from the section where the away support is housed is extremely audible. Away teams could well be emboldened. Two games in and both Brighton and Mansfield fans claiming they out shouted us. Im not sure about that in that travelling fans of all teams generally are vocal most of the time, but in doing so are unlikely to hear the resident supporters.
The acoustics at the away end are no different. It's simply we have a lot of fans not interested in vocal support and would prefer to miss 20 minutes of a game to squeeze that pint in they can't do without or indulge in a diabetes inducing doughnut.

Get the ball boys/girls to stick a mucky sock over all the pitch-side mics near the away end. Sound was appalling on Sky last night, but what crowd noise you could hear was mostly away fans.

If loudness correlates with youth, 35 years of being Kenwright’s Nostalgic Museum was always going to lead to a stadium of quiet auld fellas.

We haven’t been attractive to kids in 40 years.

Not forgetting that singing whilst sitting down is a touch awkward hence the need to stand which takes me back to my earlier post about past practices being frowned upon by the folks around me.

There's people sitting in the safe standing section which I don't get. Clearly last night there'll be lots there who are infrequent attendees but going forward that should mean automatic ejection 😄

Does PL rules say: every club will ensure that away fans look like they own their stadium and that their own fans look like ten bob?
Bore off you utter idiot. It doesn't look like this at all. Wish you would leave the forum you constantly bring everything down. Your views aren't for generating debate they are the rantings of an utter lunatic now.

You have made this forum utterly unsafe for fans to enjoy everton now.

I'd be disappointed if we acquired Nelson Dock simply to fill it in and build on it. Might as well have gone to Stonebridge Cross in that case.
I think we have to aquire it. Even if it’s to stop someone else getting in. Next thing you know there’s a massive Asda next to the stadium blocking all the views. I think it makes sense for us to get it and get a few little shops and stuff on it. What I would love would be an Everton village. You literally walk through it and there’s shop after shop.

"A few little shops" won't pay their way unfortunately.

Im in Upper South Block 206 and some idiot tried to take a pint to his seat ffs 😡. The female steward stopped him, wouldnt let him pass, and then his mate was in her face trying to stop her. Fair play she stood her ground and wouldnt let them pass and talking to her afterwards, they had reported her because they didnt like her attitude ffs.

Saw some trouble at the end of the game too in the same block. Some kids needed separating.

I absolutely love our new home but 2 things are massively p***** me off.

I’ve mentioned it a few times, but the concourse and stairways need sorting out. There so ugly and bland. Get the walls painted blue, get some murals, logos, pictures etc…..

People are paying good money for memberships to try and get tickets and yet again there’s blocks of empty seats everywhere, wtf…. Sort it out Everton.

I saw a few more Evertonised areas this time around. We just have to be patient I feel here.

As for the empty seats it took me nearly 6 hours to get to the ground from Bristol, I'm sure a lot of people who might have set off later didn't end up making it. You'll also get some who just wanted the credits for the cup. The blocks full of empty seats were in the away end, perhaps need to look at better ways of dividing the fans. It was the first time, so you can understand the caution.

Upper South concourse still murder before match and at HT and then the east upper is half empty. People need to use their brains and start spreading out, get your ale and move away from In front off that pinch point between the bar and toilets.

Saying that another bar or more ebar units in the east would help draw people away

There was a bar at the far end of the East stand that was completely empty mate, the bloke was coming out looking for punters. I use the East concourse as my personal private area. I was the only one in the toilet for instance, just a shame I have to walk from the West stand all the way around.

The advertising strips. At one point last night Hill Dickinson was going across the screen so quickly it was difficult to even look at the screen.

Agreed, it is actually so bright that I'm sure the whole pitch gets brighter and dimmer when it switches to black.
