In minutes, he's played less than the equivalent of 3 matches for us the PL despite all of those "appearances."

He may never be any good, but he should have been loaned out 2 seasons before but we were broke and couldn't bring in a third striker, then he got injured in the preseason last year. The guy just needs to play somewhere, and he won't get that at Everton right now.

We should be signing young players, even when we were broke (actually, especially when we were broke).

We still need to develop players and sell them. It's holding back our spend this summer, not being able to sell to buy.

It still annoys me that we didn't try to force a move for DCL. We should have sold him and Chermiti probably never gets signed.

Also, if the option fee is true, it just reinforces the idea that buying young players in that fee range isn't really all that risky, financially.
