New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The biggest issue is transport. Shuttle to and from Liverpool One is excellent, parking is a nightmare.

On top of that, last night M62 had two lanes closed - clearly not a stadium issue - but by the time I had walked from Liverpool One to my car, then fought through traffic, sat in traffic and eventually got home at 00:30, it was a very long evening.

I know it will all settle down, but at the moment it’s a mess for private transport.

Fine for us, we got back to Bolton at around 11:30.

15/20 min walk to car park, straight out up past Royal Oak, past goodison onto the lancs. Easy.

The security tried to stop the home fans from North and West stands walking up the North side when exiting last night. It created a huge bottleneck very quickly. Looked like their plan was to prioritise away supporter exit. This changed quickly as there was 1000s penned in and 1000s more following from behind. The security seemed oblivious to this. Fans had to move barriers to prevent a safety issue. No common sense. They should be keeping the away support in the ground.

If the future plan is to funnel home supporters from the North and West stands back along the West tunnel and past the South stand there is going to be a safety issue on exit.
That had cleared by the time we got out, thankfully.

What they need is an embarrassing Manchester United penalty shootout to be happening just as fans are exiting for every home game. That kept us in the family enclosure concourse for an extra five or ten minutes.

Upper north west corner was great last night for the first time and was what I expected it to be, queued up at turnstile 2 at 7 and had a pint by 10past and finally managed to get a pint half time, not sure whether this was because an ebar has appeared now and because our section was blocked off from the rest of the upper tear because of the away fans but it was great!
How did they block it off from the away section mate? Just a line of stewards or is there a physical barrier. Didn't walk round the upper level concourse last night but was wondering if or how they managed to segregate the away section up there as not seen anything obvious (i.e. walls or gates!) at the other games.

When I was in the queue last night someone made a very good point about having a drop off point. It could almost be done like the airport - maybe about further down the road up by Bankhall Street. Cars could come down that road, hit a drop off point and then do a circle back on Bankhall Lane. This would allow people to be dropped off and picked up.

Shutters cone down, think they've got them pre installed at different points so the can segregate at different points around the stadium for different events

Just a line of stewards on each side with a vast expanse of empty seats between

Would of been handy if they were manning the ques in the West Stand

Got there at about 7:10, only got in just after kick off!

Big ques outside with know one manning were the ques were meant to be or any order

Anyone with a remotely swaggery walk and Monitrex trackie just walked through the crowd/ques and went straight in, leaving the people in the que waiting longer to get in
