New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

After years of standing in the Lower Gwladys, it felt very odd to be sat down in the Upper South Stand on Sunday. Just feels strange to me to be sat down singing and clapping, probably should have got our tickets in the lower in hindsight. Would love for the whole of the South stand to be standing as it’d really improve the atmosphere.
I feel the same.

My 4th time in the stadium and I've virtually walked straight in each time. Last night was in a line with maybe 10 people in front of me, walked in a minute after joining the line.
Not sure why the problems at other turnstiles. We go in #10.
I'm not sure if the club already has it but they could do with maybe some kind of improvement suggestion form for fans to complete, they will see the teething problems right there.

You should have been emailed a survey to complete after the Roma and Brighton games mate. They will probably send another out after last night.

Fourth time I've been and still pinching myself at it all. It is incredible and really does increase our profile. I've sat in North, West, and East now and all views are great. It isn't without its issues though and some need attention earlier than others.

Food and drink keep running out

No soft drinks in Club View tonight but they got some bottles a while later that were lukewarm at best. Still charged for pint size drink. Guinness in the e-bar was an inch from the pint line (the £7 pint line!). We were on row 63 (back row) for just this game but that is a hell of a walk from outside. Can't see how people with mobility issues will deal with that? Maybe I missed the escalator but we went in turnstile 20

Water was off in female and male toilets second half

No lights on Everton badge and Hill Dickinson signs externally when it was dark? Not sure if that was strategic or an error. My guess is the latter given the importance.

Think there needs to be more lighting on parts of Regent road - specifically by the bridge as I saw a few people trip over the kerb/s on the walk back. May not be an Everton thing but it's a H&S thing and I'm sure they can influence it

Getting out the ground is problematic. It's already a right situation with only a few gates for egress around the fanzone but then they have food stalls and programme sellers with queues that add to the density. It could be an accident waiting to happen with young kids etc.
The lighting near the bridge is really bad. A few did trip on the kerb.

The ground really is amazing. Even my Mrs was impressed and she hates football.

They had no draft beer in Kendall's way on village street. No idea what that was about. The amount of staff in hospitality was incredible. Felt more like a top end Dubai hotel than a footy ground.

All the Mansfield fans looked made up to be there

A lot of the issues people faced yesterday will come from their inexperience in the ground. With more games, people will become more familiar.

Shocking getting in to turnstile 2 tonight. Around 7:45 the queues were past halfway of the underneath of the west terrace. We’d been in the queue since 7:20. At 7:55 they decided to tell us we could use turnstile 1 which was empty! They need more patrols down there directing people to the correct queue because they just kept walking to the front thinking ‘this massive queue couldn’t surely be for Turnstile 2’. It then created a bottle neck. Awful organisation. Would have been worse if the usual folks in the North Stand hadn’t been displaced.

Wasn’t there last night, but Defo something going on with Gate 2, as has been queueing problems at the Roma and Brighton games.

Organisation is part of it, against Roma the gate 2 queue was along the north stand, against Brighton it was kinda out diagonally from the corner towards the river, then sounds like last night was along the west. So that’s an organisation problem.

Was also the case in those 2 games that gate 1 was practically empty, so are they just telling too many to go to gate 2?

When we left against Brighton we came out the east stand - gates 21 or 22, so think they should just be able to distribute people a bit better, by directing more to access via those gates.

Honestly though think it will probably take all season for them to iron out some of this, as they get to grips with the crowd behaviour in terms of arrival and routine.
