He looked really sluggish in preseason. He is not right mentally atm and probably feels displaced. Maybe Moyes told him something. Maybe he was the leak at the club. All I can say is I hope he embraces the competition at the club and gets it together. Created an absurd amount of play during his time here. He should be better in a better squad. If he keeps playing with his head down, that is not good for us. We need the depth.

Nope. Said last night it’s not that I don’t want to sell him, it’s just I don’t think we’d sell and replace in 5 days.

Mcneil struggled tonight but not as much as people suggest,played most of the game out of position as well.Seems like he has become the whipping boy for the team but then it moves around four or five players in the squad who is it going to be Saturday? Keane?

Moyes will need numbers this season to cover injuries/suspension and manage games. McNeil hasn’t gone from decent to bad, he’s a good one to have around.
