New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Disagree. My first visit too and although it looks fantastic from the outside, inside leaves a lot to be desired. At 68 years of age I struggled to make it up to the South Stand. Still the same old problems with toilet facilities. Same old queues at the bar with inflated prices. Not much different than St James Park tbh. Underwhelmed
I thought it was great. Ended up in the lower south stand and the steep rake of the stand is impressive. No need to worry about selecting seats as there isn't a bad seat in the ground either. It's new, it's not Goodison, but it's one of the rare times I've watched us without somekind of obstruction. For an early season Cup game against far lesser opposition the atmosphere was pretty good too. It's a loud stadium. It'll come to life in the big games for sure.

In terms of getting to the ground, for me door to door times are pretty much the same. There's more walking, but I'm OK with that but totally get that it will be more difficult for a lot of people. This needs to improve. It's probably exacerbated by the fact it's a late mid week kick off and there's a rush/need to get home. Weekends won't be as bad.

There's still cons. I couldn't get a pint at half time, but at the end of the day I'm not that fussed, I can go a game without drinking.

It was my first game there tonight and I must say I felt very emotional, it almost feels like a new Everton is emerging before our very eyes. Queued for about 10/15 minutes to get into turnstile 2 but once we were in everything was fine. I found the concourse to actually be quite spacious and managed to get a pint (and a Toffee Doughnut) very quickly. One plus is the entrance/exit to the toilets is a lot wider so everyone is able to pass much easier on the way in and out and the urinal feels a lot less like a troth now thankfully. Overall I think it’s going to take some getting used to and there will be teething issues to iron out. However, I fully expect the club to sort any issues in due course.

Also want to add that I thought Sandhills station was really well organised with plenty of staff and very regular trains, hopefully this continues going forward.
