Shocking getting in to turnstile 2 tonight. Around 7:45 the queues were past halfway of the underneath of the west terrace. We’d been in the queue since 7:20. At 7:55 they decided to tell us we could use turnstile 1 which was empty! They need more patrols down there directing people to the correct queue because they just kept walking to the front thinking ‘this massive queue couldn’t surely be for Turnstile 2’. It then created a bottle neck. Awful organisation. Would have been worse if the usual folks in the North Stand hadn’t been displaced.

Only just got the final letters in place for Sunday, the cables were visibly hanging down. My guess is they want them all to be working before switching them on.

Thought things ran smooth inside the ground tonight. Turnstiles for the lower south stand was dead easy. Not sure why there's problems elsewhere. The place looked beautiful under the lights. The amplification of the noise is impressive, it made the away fans sound really loud at times despite them being up the other end. When we host teams where there's a bit of animosity it's going to be deafening.

Compared to eating and drinking at goodison it's night and day. Although they could do with adding more shelves to put your drink on, there's the space for it.

Turnstile 2 was a nightmare against Roma. It’s because they close all the West stand off when the players arrive, it just causes huge crowds that then flood to the turnstiles once they open it back up.

I'm not sure why they don't just let people use any they accesses the floor you're on, as you can move freely inside anyway

I can't think of one other team that has them this exposed.

Think some of the bare concrete around staircases, concourses and around the stadium still need work. Loads of room to "Everton it up".

Mental that there's no escalators to that club view, its a hike! View is quality up there.

Think its going to take me a while to get used to it. I didn't have that "wow" feeling that I thought i would after waiting all this time. I think @Neiler posted a video from Sundays game something the team coming out and it looked and sounded epic. Not sure why I thought it would be similar tonight with it being a 2nd round league cup match.

Lots of positives of course, I think my enjoyment of football is just on the slide a bit more than I thought and I missed being behind an obstructed post at Goodison with other things other than football to occupy my mind.

Some of the staff are ignorant arseholes, others are great...

We asked on guy in a suit where our entrance was and he just fobbed us off and told us to ask someone else...

Was funny when it turned out to be the entrance he was stood outside and we walked past him....
