New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

they are complaining about lack of vegan food :D seems mixed, some loved it, some didn't - not sure Brighton are as representative as a more traditional fan base tbh and likely a lot of newbies support them
I read a lot of comments re a lack of atmosphere, for me the displacement of people round the ground will naturally effect chants, for the first few games.

Also for many including myself it was their first actual visit. I often found myself looking round even when the game was in progress, just trying to take it all in.

It will take time to build what we had at Goodison, but it will come. With each passing game it will feel more like home

My initial opinion is I feel it'll be difficult to sustain an atmosphere in the new place. Great when everyone joins in but it's hard to get it going and it doesn't last. Time will tell.

I don't know how close to the back and wall this is, but people aren't even standing on the South Stand at this point, when they do, that will cut off that corner further.

It was basic physics it would happen, but I still don't class this as restricted, even if the view of that corner was completely clipped.
I posted this picture ages ago. Again, not seen or heard anyone complaining of obstructed views. The comments on here were all about how the wall would block the view. I spoke to the woman who took that picture and she confirmed the view wasn't obstructed.

agreed.

We really do need to use the 'blue wall' south stand to our advantage, though. It has great acoustics.

Isn't that the away fans where it's all standing? Anyone actually physically checked it? Not seen or heard any complaints.

People won't consider it obstructed if there is a bit of the corner of the pitch out of view. You can clearly see there is or could be issues with these areas, that depend on how tall you are or you have to stand/move your head to one side, how many accessible seats are in use on a particular day etc. that means the handful of seats in those places cannot be classed as 100% perfect view seats. I've always maintained and you can go back and check this, that it will be just a certain corner for each of these areas, meaning the seats could be 99% or a bit less depending on those factors above.

I'd agree the away fans would be, if seated, but this is safe standing so there shouldn't be any of the playing surface obstructed...but need confirmation and so far have not seen or heard any complaints. Of all the things Brighton seem to have moaned about, obstructed views wasn't one of them.

In terms of the South Stand Walls, I'd have to respectfully disagree. None of the playing surface is obstructed and i'm confident this wouldn't be affected by anyone standing up either. Again, I've not seen or heard anyone complain. I'm going tomorrow so will check these and take pictures if i get chance.

Some weird comments about atmosphere, it was amazing. It was quiet at times due to the performance on the pitch, but that’s no different than Goodison. I’m sorry but our new place is amazing!
Absolutely, I was worried about the atmosphere and whether it would transfer well from Goodison.
I thought it was excellent, as you say it went. quiet at times , but that was mostly when Brighton were in possession, or when we were defending and everyone was absorbed in the game , no different to Goodison.
