Great to hear. Who was playing in the tournament?
Robert had a super tournament, he really seemed to “come of age” in the sense that previously he was often a bit part player , coming on for the likes of Graham, Loney, Morgan etc to the extent I saw some comments that he was a winger. Definitely a No9 here, happy to play the front striker and hustle defenders despite not be that tall , run the channels , take his goals well and even set one up. Thats a well deserved award, he must have been close to the Golden Boot too, I think he may have scored 5 goals , I can’t remember.
Yep, agree about Pita he looked really good running at defenders. Wales youth have rated him highly , it seems he had some injury of other last season and disappeared for a while. I’m hoping they don’t continue trying him at right back , let’s see what he’s capable of fully at u18s first .Did an excellent job as a 9 in the tournament. I’m leaning towards the idea that he’s deployed as a sort of second striker to develop a Big-man/Small-man combo with Loney (and aside from Nsangou, we don’t really have a certified CAM type in this grouping).
Pita was the one that stood out for me the most. Excellent hustle, responsible tracking back, and flexed some creative muscle through some direct runs. I think he’s going to be a much bigger part of the u18 squad this year than I anticipated.
Spoilers damnit Geneva Cup media team! The first time was so nice, they had to do it twice. Back2Back Geneva cup champs.
Could have had a word with the scouting team and saved us £40mil there.Didn't expect his career to go quite this way but very happy that it has!
Finished that way I'm guessing?
Anyone know what's going on with him @blueloon @Nymzee @HKContractDave ?I see you've made everyone's favourite mistake and forgotten about Tyler Onyango.
